RAAMOverAFWith RAAM 2014 behind me, it is time to refocus on the remainder of the race season and get ready for Livestrong 2014. Thank you to all the great sponsors that supported our team during RAAM. Your commitment and support to our team is greatly appreciated. Thank you to our great RAAM Crew. You really pulled together and helped the team physically, emotionally and spiritually through RAAM. Thank you Karen Felschow (K1), Karen Morgan (K2), Lorie Lewis, Conner Lewis (Eagle 1), Kim Weatherly, D Felschow, Bob Carhart, Jim Buchanan, Carol Mount and Bob Wilkinson. Lorie Lewis, your blogging was so greatly appreciated. Your words are so inspiring and captured the essence of RAAM. You can read all of Lorie’s inspiring words at this link. Click here to get to the site and all the posts are archived in the right hand column. Great Reading!!!

Livestrong has restructured the venue, which provides for the opportunity to ride 20, 40, 50, 70 and 100 miles. There will be two bike courses, one being a 20 mile loop and a second, a 50 mile loop, for the longer riders this year. For the runners, there will be a 5K and a 10K course. There are still some key races left in the 2014 racing calendar for H, so the training has already shifted to elevate the intensity and lower the number of miles. It is a welcome to put 1-2 hours in training rather than the last year of 4+ hours/day to train for RAAM. Oh how I missed those shorter races!!! Race On.
